Karen Campbell was born and raised in Guyana where she received her early training in Civil Engineering. After graduating from High School, she pursued a Diploma in Civil Engineering to further her interests in this area. While she studied, Karen teamed up with two engineering companies to get a practical approach to the geotechnical field until her migration to California in 2002.
Karen has been with the GeoConcepts team since 2005 and started performing testing for our in-house laboratory. With 10+ years experience in this field, she has been working to provide results and report the data using the Geotechnical Integrator (gINT) software. Other experience includes soils explorations and investigations for commercial and residential development covering flatland sites.
In 2010, Karen was given the task of managing our office. She has maintained the schedule of the field technicians and oversees the general operations of the company. She is proficient with current technical programs, has knowledge of Human Resources and project management skills.
